Safari Park 50th Milestone 44

MILESTONE 44

SAVE THE CHUBBY UNICORNS

The Safari Park took another giant leap forward for conservation when we opened the Nikita Kahn Rhino Rescue Center in May 2015. The innovative 3.5-acre facility is dedicated to the conservation of white rhinos, with a focus on assisted reproductive techniques to help accelerate our understanding of the physiology of the white rhino. In 2019, the Park welcomed Edward, the first southern white rhinoceros to be born as a result of artificial insemination in North America.
