INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ DAY
For the first time in the Park’s history, the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, part of the Kumeyaay Nation, hosted the Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The day was filled with rich Kumeyaay storytelling, dancing, culinary delights, and educational talks about our collaborative conservation efforts.
