MILESTONE 35
OUT IN THE EBO FOREST
A thick forest canopy towers above mountaintops and river valleys in the moist, tropical Congo Basin forest ecosystem, a biodiversity hotspot that is a site of global importance to our planet’s overall health. In 2005, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s Center for Reproduction of Endangered Species established a field research station in Cameroon’s Ebo forest to work with local communities, to better protect at-risk species like the lowland gorilla.
